The "Haunted" Forest 23e83c2159574cf23c5c617e0566aac6

The forest is a thickly wooded area and not much light is let in through the leaves. Humans have rumors spreading about it being 'haunted' so they avoid it, making it a great place for animals to live. Though humans occasionally enter the forest if they don't believe the rumors. For animals in this area, humans are a rare sight, so they're curious and slightly hesitant when they enter the forest. The main animals found here are wolves, deer, rodents, birds, and the occasional run away dog.

"Slow down, Russet." Kenai barks from behind his brother, the younger of the Mexican wolves racing ahead of the darker male. "No! Catch up on your own!" The younger male barks back. Kenai growls a warning to his brother and his heavy limp continues as he snaps back "I can't moron. My leg." Russet glances back and slides to an abrupt stop, waiting patiently for his brother to approach. "My bad." Russet shrugs innocently, before yelping loudly as his older brother swats his face scornfully, the sound echoing off of the surrounding trees due to the forest's eerie silence."Let's go. No running ahead this time." Kenai scolds as he limps ahead, practically dragging his injured leg. Russet watches his brother's pitiful travel and pads after him, head lowered to the height of his haunches, keeping a watchful eye on his wounded brother, who is likely to never heal from their abuse.

The "Haunted" Forest Empty Re: The "Haunted" Forest

Britain races ahead of her petite sister, muscles rippling under her reddish brown coat, scarred withers and flanks aching. "Keep up, Kira. We have to find a place to rest where we aren't seen as easily. We don't want anyone hurting you.. again." Britain barks back at her sister, who is lagging behind. "I can't, Britain. My legs hurt." The younger damsel whimpers, ears flat as she slows to a jog, before stopping completely and sitting down, panting heavily. "Well, too bad. We have to keep moving." Britain snarls, sharp canines baring as she whips around to face her sister. "I'm not moving." Kira says stubbornly, lying down. Britain huffs in irritation and pads over, sitting protectively by her sister where her flank touches her side. Her ears prick up and her reddish brown pelt bristles slightly, muscles bunched as she gets ready to jump up and defend her sister, even at the cost of her life, for Kira is all she has left.

Panting lightly, the brothers pad through the fores, side by side, not looking at each other or bothering to talk. Kenai suddenly starts running with a heavy limp, causing his brother to sprint after him as fast as his legs will take him. Russet knows better than to question Kenai, so he stays silent and follows him through the trees without hesitation. Though by instinct, he knows this won't be good.

Glancing back at Kira, Britain hesitantly stands up, stalking through the forest for a meal. She leaps up and snatches a bird just as it lifts into the air and carries it back to her sister, dropping it by her face, but she leaves again before she can reject the bird. Britain then kills a small rodent and feasts next to her sister, devouring whatever the younger lupine leaves.

(ENTERING THE HAUNTED FOREST FROM THE STREETS)
Echo anxiously entered the forest, Bear close behind her, it was gorgeous. The two siblings hadn't been here since Echo had ran away, so everything was quite new. The forest didn't look haunted, so the two wondered why it was called the haunted forest. Birds chirped in the trees above Echo's heads, singing the songs of her puppyhood, she hoped to see her parents again someday. She would have to ask the locals about it.

Growling softly in irritation at her younger sister, Britain pads ahead with her head lowered to her withers and fur bristled, making her appear slightly larger even though she's maximum height. "Hurry up, Kira. I found a place safe to sleep while I scouted ahead earlier. Keep moving." Britain growls, glancing back at her smaller, exhausted sister. "But I'm tired." Kira whimpers, ears flattening. "I'll drag you if I have to." Britain snarls, baring her teeth at the younger lupine. Kira sits stubbornly and Britain growls sharply, padding over and grabbing her scruff tightly in her jaws, forcing her to the ground and dragging her lazy, under-weight sister to a hole in a tree big enough to fit the two of them.

|| Entering the Haunted Forest from the Streets ||

Incredibly agile in regards to his immense dimensions, Sebastian maneuvered the thickening groves of the Haunted Forest with general ease, yet his massive proportions were clearly evident to the ear--it sounded, as if, a freight train was razing through the conifers. However, a trodden aisle abandoned his haywire course through the boscage, anything that intervened his course was now broken and littering the terrain as debris, it would lead directly to him. Songbirds had silenced themselves in the canopies and static silence veiled the entirety of the coppice, but the harsh repetition of the Beauceron's breathing and the bulldozing of verdure prevailed. His ears folded against his temples at the distant constant barking and snarls from the gang of canines hellbent on catching him, vibrant scenarios of Mossberg's unsaid, but obvious misfortune conjured from his active imagination flashing behind his eyelids with every blink.

As soon as Kira lies down in the hole, Britain crawls in and starts grooming her matted coat, sniffing at her scars and crawling out of the shelter when Kira tries to do the same to her scarred sister. Britain glances back at her sister, who watches her intently before falling asleep. Britain huffs and shakes her coat, sitting and licking at a scarred shoulder, wincing since it's a fresh wound.

Entering The Haunted Forest From The Streets

Sheba snarls, sniffing the ground as she notices how close she was. Her nose was incredible, clearly the bloodhound in her. She let her large paws launch her closer, Landing on mud so her steps weren't as loud. She soon starts to see the figure of the smaller canine, Her eyes almost locking in on him. She often caught her own food, such as deer or birds, so she figured that catching a dog would be easier. She lets out a ear piercing howl, Deep and loud like a bloodhound. She lets out a loud growl, Her steeps still almost silent, and scent mostly covered with mud. She was the fastest of the dogs, Due to not really having any fast dogs other than the Irish Wolfhounds. The English Mastiff launches herself to go faster, pushing herself to please the gang. She hated the gang, though wanted to keep the higher rank to possibly make her own life easier. Soon, she sees his figure and snarls, passing him and turning. She stops, skidding in front of him with a snarl, barking loudly at him.

The intervening bodice of the mastiff female had caused a near collision, but Sebastian pacified his dynamic gallop upon instantaneous notice and braced his robust limbs. His double dewclaws clutched into the slick terrain and restricted his anatomy from sailing directly into her. The Beauceron inhaled discernibly, a rudimentary gurgle vibrating his throat as he evaluates the mastiff's hostile intentions. His stance became awfully rigid, his hirsute dorsal pelage annealing and a bristled tail hovering above his rump emanated certain dominance, authority. He would never submit at the forepaws of an aggressor, especially one demanding it from him like this canine was. Sebastian's stance made it quite clear that a brawl would ensue, if he wasn't regarded with some respect, especially from someone claiming such a high rank. Loyalty is earned, not taken.

Britain slips back into the hole of the tree and curls up around her sister's half-starved form, ears pricked and muscles tense warily, ready to fight off anything aiming to hurt either of them. The lupine lets the tips of her canines bare, a low, protective growl sounding from the back of her throat as she rests her head on her sister's back.

Sheba snarls, Knowing she easily had 100 pounds on this dog. She was clearly not overweight, obviously not underweight, yet still easily weighed 200+ pounds. Her tail raised high, and curled to her back, with her back rounded, and fur sticking up. She pins her ears back to her neck, Lunging at the dog as she grips their neck. As a pup, she was trained to bite as hard as possible, and shake her head back and forth, not side to side. Shaking back and forth first would let her teeth get stuck in the flesh, and back and forth would wound the dog farther. She does so, snarling in the dogs ear the entire time. It seemed very easy for her, as for most of her body mass was muscle. It was clear she could of hurt the dog more, but she was going easy. This was on purpose, As for she was more of a relaxed dog. Her snarls were fake, whines mixed in. She didn't want to be leader, but she was the largest strongest dog in the gang, even larger and stronger than Mossberg. If she wanted to be leader, she could of easily killed Mossberg. She tries to look tough, still lightly whining as she snarled. She didn't really even pierce the dogs skin, but made it look like she did.

The Beauceron grappled his frontal limbs around the mastiff's burly nape and brandished his own arsenal of 42 teeth, regally prominent canines highlighting the antagonistic display and a guttural snarl ripping from his throat. He refused to be shook like a ragdoll, it was evident in the manner he dropped his large weight and anchored his hocks into the terrain, making it difficult for his attacker. He retailiated by latching his incisors into the fleshy meat of her wither, yet he didn't pierce into her skin, but it would be done with much ease if he had wished to. He became quickly aware that his assailant was putting up a good show for her gang, especially by the charisma she performed, elaborating her thrashing to make it appear like massive damage was being done, when it was distracting the audience from what's actually happening. He played along for convenience sake, putting up a realistic, impressive fight before allowing himself to collapse in surrender to the actress.

She grins, snarling at the gang until they had left. Sheba nudges the dogs shoulder, telling him to get up. She knew she could easily run, as long as they weren't spotted, and didn't leave too many paw prints. She starts walking, Her head over her shoulder to watch the gang. They just keep walking, so she runs as fast as she can deeper into the woods. The humans wouldn't follow, and she knew that, as for they thought the woods were haunted.

Do they ever think for themselves?
Sebastian witnessed the throng of canines retreat from the mastiff's boisterous snarling from his feeble peripheral vision and quivered his cropped ears in contemplation. However, his thoughts were dismissed when the female prodded his wither with her snout. He collected his limbs beneath his well-conditioned form and shook his coarse attire, yet he lunged into an energetic canter behind the brindled canine without missing a beat. He embraced the quietude of the "haunted" grove to avoid capturing the attention of the gang once more, the rhythmic thudding of his paws muffled with the marshy terrain the further they shot into the woods.

Britain crawls out from the hole in the tree and growls at Kira, her tone low, "Stay here, Kira." "Okay, Britain." The younger female whimpers, curling up tighter in the hole. Britain kicks dust near the entrance to hide their paw-prints before darting into the trees to find something to feed her half-starved half-sibling. The Eurasian female sniffs the ground and skids to an abrupt stop, ears pricked and teeth baring, a low growl erupting from the back of her throat before she stalks slowly through the trees, sniffing the air at the scent of canines. Deciding it's best to ignore it for now, she pads off to continue hunting for her sister.

Sheba pants, slowing down. She smells a wolf, soon smelling two. She slowly goes closer, seeing one much thinner wolf. She slowly goes closer, suddenly and quickly running. She leaps, landing on a rabbit as she bows her head, walking up to the wolf. She drops it quite a distance away, her large legs stepping back as she sits, raising one paw, and putting her head up high.

Kira stares up at the stranger with her ears flat before slowly padding over and sniffing at the rabbit and instantly tearing at the meat, holding it with her paws and tearing ravenously at the creature. Britain runs over a moment later, panting lightly and keeping a wary eye on the stranger, an instinctive soft growl erupting from the back of her throat as she lies at her sister's side with her head on her paws.

Post by Sheba Sat Apr 02, 2016 2:33 pm

Sheba bows her head, Running off again. She could easily take down a small deer by herself, which is what she planned to do. She wanted to get somthing larger though, Perhaps a full grown deer. She makes cheetah like noises, but much lower pitched. Soon, Diamond, her sister runs up with bear. The two were never far from each other, staying in the haunted forest, as for Sheba had siblings in every are, Some siblings even across the country. The three trot off, Noses to the ground as they sniff for any larger prey. Around, 10 or 20 minutes later, They all get a faint scent of a deer. One problem, It was a buck. They head after it anyway, Being very quiet, and quick as the buck comes in to view. Diamond leads the chase, Hoping to catch the buck's neck, as for Diamond was the fastest, Sheba and bear the largest. Up on hearing footsteps, the deer takes off almost instantly, Diamond chasing. Bear and Sheba run to the south, laying down as they waited for Diamond to herd the deer this way. Diamond was running west, Soon seeing Bear and Sheba were in position, She turns south, Chasing the deer right into them. When the deer is only around 10 feet away, The brother and sister leap up, Charging it as they jump, Latching on to its neck and falling. All three panting, They take a bit of the deer. They saved two legs for them self, Bringing the rest of the large buck to the sister's, Hoping to show what they were capable of, at the same time showing how kind they could be. They drop the deer, Still panting heavily as they put their heads down, Bowing as soon they flop down, All at once, Exhausted. The siblings did this hunt without a word, As for they all had perfected how the humans taught them to hunt, and made small adjustments so they could take down almost anything, Even as fast as a deer, or as large as a bear.

Diamond and Bear walk away, Panting. Sheba stays on the ground, Laying on her side to cover a wound the Buck's antlers have given her. The buck turned, and slammed one of his antlers into her side right before she had jumped to his neck. She was pretty badly hurt, But wanted to do he strangers a favor, And hated having a favor returned to her. She hated feeling helpless, And she has no idea why.

Post by Sebastian Sun Apr 03, 2016 12:15 am

Sebastian acquired solitude again within the murky recesses of the eidolic forest and reduced his mercurial strides to something less ostentatious, reducing his traverse to a casual ambling gait. He resumed to be extremely watchful during his excursion through the woodland, his attentive ears swiveling gingerly, in hopes of detecting anything--if anything-- first, before they noticed him. He didn't linger in the presence of Sheba, much preferring keeping to himself and not bestowing his trustful loyalties to another canine. His olfactory did, however, perceive the scents of two wolves but, he already knew the mastiff female would be occupied with them, and wouldn't bother.
